MG MGB Technical - [MGB “rubber bumpers”] Rear anti-roll bar

Does somebody have 2 or 3 good pictures of MGB « rubber bumpers » rear anti-roll bar ? Special interest for the 2 straps maintaining the bar on the bodyshell and the 2 links to the Salisbury rear axle. An extract from “rubber bumper” MGB parts catalogue is also most welcome.

Thanks in advance

Guillaume,

does your MGB already have a lowered suspension? I have come to the conclusion that if your car rides lower then you can by no doubt get rid rid of the rear bar. Even the so well handlig early MGBs did not use one. It promotes uncontrollable oversteer especially when wet. I have made experiences ....

The rear axle brackets resemble the steering rack brackets on the front crossmember, and are welded to the axle casing with a slight forward lean. The securing caps and rubbers are the same as the front roll bar.

The attachment to the body comprises two square metal boxes which are welded in the top front corners with space to get the nut on the outside. I believe that these are available from mg specialists.
Sorry don't have technology to do pictures!!

Thanks to Paul and Dave, it's exactly the info I was looking for.

Mark, I don't have an MGB but a "heavy nose" :-) MGC.

They're many threads - both in MGB and MGC archives - on anti-roll control and I don't want to re-open discussion again.

Since overhaul of front+rear axles, differential and propeller shaft are on my Feb03 agenda, it's the right time to prepare the possibility to install a rear A/R bar later on.
My objective is to rectify the rolling inertia of the MGC, which jars on my nerves while enchaining long curves on the motorways. No need to add that shock absorbers, rear leaf springs or front torsion bars have already been controlled.
Considering the way I use my MGC, "heavy duty" or "competition" suspension definitions are of little interest to me.

Did you consider Rear Traction Control Link from Tim at Frontline?
